As part of Careers Week, children at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Academy in Billingham had an exciting opportunity to learn from industry experts - with a very tasty twist!
Learning How Crisps Are Made
We were delighted to welcome Craig, Hannah, Paul and Kirsty from KP Snacks, who led an engaging whole‑school assembly. The children discovered how their favourite crisps are made, from ingredients to packaging, and had the chance to ask lots of curious questions.
Hands-On Crisp-Making Workshops
After the assembly, a group of pupils took part in a lively workshop where they experienced different roles within the crisp‑making process. Activities included:
- Taste testing
- Adding flavours
- Packing crisps
- Learning about food production jobs
The children loved every moment of the hands‑on experience, and the enthusiasm in the room was fantastic.
A Big Thank You to KP Snacks
It was a brilliant afternoon full of learning, fun and newfound inspiration. A huge thank you to the KP Snacks team for visiting and making Careers Week so memorable!
