Practising Road Safety

Our Early Years children at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Academy in Billingham have been busy learning how to keep themselves safe when crossing the road. Through interactive activities, role‑play and simple actions, they’ve gained an important understanding of how to travel safely.

Stop, Look, Listen and Think

The children used clear, memorable actions to help them remember the key steps to safe crossings:

  • Stop
  • Look
  • Listen
  • Think

They also practised holding an adult’s hand and walking carefully when crossing - two essential habits for staying safe near traffic.

Great Job, Early Years!

Every child did a fantastic job listening, participating and showing what they had learned. Well done, Early Years - you are becoming super road‑safety stars!
