Continuing Careers Week With a Special Guest
As part of the ongoing excitement following our recent Careers Week, Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Academy was delighted to welcome a special visitor into school - PC “Coggy”, who spent time talking to our children about his role within the police and the important work officers do in our community.
Exploring the Role of the Police
PC Coggy gave pupils an engaging and informative session where he explained:
- How the police keep people safe
- Ways they prevent incidents and support communities
- The purpose of their uniform and equipment
- How children can contact the police if they ever need help
The children were fascinated as they learned more about policing, and they showed great respect and curiosity throughout the session.
Curious Minds and Excellent Questions
Our pupils particularly enjoyed the chance to ask questions, and they certainly had plenty! From how officers respond to emergencies to what daily life in the police force looks like, their thoughtful questions helped deepen their understanding of community safety and public service.
A Warm Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to PC Coggy for taking the time to visit us and sharing such valuable knowledge with our pupils. His friendly manner and clear explanations made the session both memorable and meaningful.
