Year 4 and 5 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Academy in Billingham have been busy investigating the fascinating world of dissolving materials — and their curiosity has been shining brightly!

As part of their science learning, the children explored which materials dissolve in water, carefully planning and conducting their own experiment. They discussed what makes a test fair, selected a range of materials to investigate, and made thoughtful predictions before getting stuck into the practical work.

Their teamwork, scientific thinking and problem‑solving skills were fantastic to see. The pupils at Holy Rosary showed real enthusiasm as they observed, questioned and recorded their findings like true young scientists.

Well done, Year 4 and 5 — keep that brilliant curiosity alive!
